Report a problem or suggest a feature

Include your iOS version, app version, what you expected, and steps to reproduce. Issues are public: do not attach private photos, device identifiers, credentials or unsanitized logs.

Getting started

Keep an internet connection for the initial model download (about 388 MB) and allow enough free space for the model and index. Grant photo access, then let the first indexing pass finish. The phone may become warm; charging can help during a large first pass. Subsequent indexing normally handles only new or changed photos.

Search and recovery

You can type while intelligent search prepares. The latest query runs when preparation finishes; clearing or closing search cancels it. Try a short description such as “sunset by the sea”. If a photo is missing, check photo permissions and indexing progress. iCloud-only photos need a connection when downloading is enabled. For download failures, restore connectivity and use Retry. You can manage the index in the app without deleting your originals.

Deleting photos

Deletion requires confirmation and affects the Photos library. Use Apple's Photos app > Recently Deleted to recover photos while recovery is still available.
